Change vs Transformation

Change vs Transformation

Be ready at any moment
to give up what you are
for what you might become

If we truly want to create a life
that is grounded in basic well-being,
we must decide to commit ourselves
to learning what it
takes to thrive
instead of merely survive.

Transformation is behavior that is permanent change. A great example is the child who, at 4:55 pm falls off his bike as he's learning to ride it. He cries. He skins his knee. He stomps into the house.
At 5:05 he walks back outside and approaches the bike, gets on and rides! And forever more, whether he gets back on the bike in 10 minutes, or ten years, he will always know how to ride a bicycle. That is a true, transformational moment. It is permanent.

When we experience our Ah-Ha moments, some are transformational and some are fleeting. Pay attention. Grow your behaviors to the point your desired behaviors are transformational! Feels so good, doesn't it?
